Chyan Community Field is an organic forest garden of about one acre in size. the field is owned by Chyan Farm / Swamp Circus Trust, a registered charity, and is situated near Halvasso.

The field has been awarded grants from the BTCV People's Award Scheme, Cory Envioromental Trust and Living Spaces to develop this green space for use by community groups and partners. The field has been divided into 8 sections and a central walled garden. Plans are underway for a composting project with a wormery and a wind driven irregation system. No charge will be made by the Trust for the use of the field or the facilities by partners of the project.

We are currently looking for additional partners with a commitment to organic gardening and permaculture. It is a great opportunity for local envioromentalists, education, youth and community groups to develop their own project alongside other like minded people. They will work their own section of the field with communal advice, training, tools, irregation and composting facilities.
