Chyan Community Field Big Lunch Big Launch

We had a great time last year celebrating The Big Lunch - and this year we are holding our event at Chyan Community Field as the Big Launch to our new project. Please bring food to share. There will be music and crafts, a willow play area and places to sit and admire the view. In the afternoon those who want to can get involved working the community allotment.
Free buses will run from Penryn and Falmouth train stations for those without transport - these will need to be booked through Amelia.
This is the launch of our Big Lottery Local Food Program Chyan Community Allotments and Apple Press. A 2 year start program to create a sustainable community allotment growing organic produce, alongside planting Cornish Apple Trees and juicing the apples for sale. We will also be taking hires for our crusher and juicer and fruit extractor - good for those blackcurrants to make your own cordial! The community allotmenteers meet every tuesday and thursday from 10 - 2pm.
